Before he was found strangled near his home, year-old Edward Werner was eagerly pursuing a set of walkie-talkies, the top prize for selling the most candy and wrapping paper for his school's PTA. On Wednesday, prosecutors said Edward was a victim of his own success, killed for his money by a year-old boy who answered the 6th-grader's knock on the door. They say Edward was brought inside the home, sexually assaulted and strangled.

Almost every time it's a teenager who is from the South Side of Richmond with a story about how he is drug free and he's out raising money for a "program" to keep drugs out of his community. A Carlisle man was recently convicted of groping a Lancaster County girl during a door-to-door sales assignment last year when he attempted to sell replacement windows. The Lancaster County jury deliberated just over an hour before returning guilty verdicts Friday afternoon against year-old Austin Kann to counts of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault without consent and corruption of minors. Assistant District Attorney Amy Muller presented evidence at the three-day trial that Kann was working for Renewal by Anderson when he assaulted the girl at a Warwick Township home.
