Virgin Media customers have been warned not to respond to an email threatening to disconnect them - because those that do could fall victim to a malicious scam to steal bank details, personal information and maybe your whole identity. The convincing scam email has the distinctive Virgin Media logo and branding, and looks for all the world to be completely legitimate. Anyone that enters their details however will have handed over their log-in information to the scammers - and they will then be able to use whatever personal information you have stored online and use it to commit fraud crimes, such as identity theft and bank fraud.
My main mail box is virgin media, but for the past few weeks all the non standard subfolders have disappeared. Clicking on more shows oubox, inbox, deleted, drafts and sent. Not sure exactly, but I had a problem not being able to download attachments to view, but could only save them. That seemed to correct itself, so not sure if that is linked.
Does anyone know the contact details of Plusnet's head of IT? My issuse of not being able to send emails is now costing my wife money see the topic "Unable to send emails" and I want to escalate it to whoever has some clout in this organisation. Go to the fix.
Just add these Virgin Media email settings to GroupMail. First, add your user information, specifying how you want to identify yourself to your recipients and add your Virgin Media email address and the email address where you want replies to be sent. The content in the Name and Organization fields is what will appear in the From field of your emails.
